Common Sign-Up Issues and How to Fix Them

Most signup problems come down to one of a few things: a personal email domain, a password that doesn't meet the requirements, or a referral code issue. Here's how to recognize and fix each.
"Personal email addresses aren't supported for trial signup"
FastHire's trial requires a work email address. This blocks common personal domains, including Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook.com, Hotmail, iCloud, ProtonMail, Zoho, and several others — whether you're signing up with email/password or with Continue with Google using a personal Gmail account.
Fix: use your company email address instead. If you genuinely need to sign up with a personal email (e.g. you're a solo operator without a company domain), contact FastHire support directly — the error message itself points you there.
Password doesn't meet requirements
Your password needs to be at least 8 characters, with at least one letter and one number. If your password is rejected, check it satisfies all three conditions — a longer password that's still missing a number (or vice versa) will still fail.
Referral code errors
If you entered a referral code on the "Tell us about you" step and got an error, see "How to Redeem a Referral Code on FastHire" for exactly what each error message means and how to fix it — common causes are a typo, entering your own code, or your organization already having redeemed one.
I closed the tab or lost my progress mid-signup
Your account and progress through the steps are both saved as you go — log back in with the email and password you used to start, and you can continue from where the signup flow left off rather than starting over.
Frequently asked questions
Why was I blocked even though I used Continue with Google?
The personal-email restriction applies regardless of sign-up method — a personal Gmail account is blocked the same way a Gmail address typed into the email field would be.
What if my company genuinely only has a personal email domain?
Contact FastHire support to arrange a trial — this isn't self-serve through the normal signup flow.
Do I lose anything if I don't finish signup in one sitting?
No — your account and step progress are saved as you go, so logging back in picks up where you left off.
What if I run into an error not covered here?
Contact FastHire support with details of exactly where in signup it happened and any error message shown.
