How to Connect Your LinkedIn Account to FastHire

Connecting LinkedIn lets FastHire source candidates, send outreach, and let you reply to LinkedIn conversations under your own account. You enter your LinkedIn credentials on a secure page hosted by Unipile (FastHire's connection provider) — never on FastHire itself.

Step 1: Start the connection

Go to Settings → Connections and select Connect LinkedIn.

Step 2: Log in on Unipile's secure page

You're redirected to Unipile's hosted connection page to log in with your LinkedIn credentials there, including any 2FA or verification LinkedIn asks for. FastHire never sees or stores your password — Unipile handles the login itself and only hands FastHire a connection reference afterward.

Step 3: Wait for confirmation

You're redirected back to FastHire with a message that your connection request was submitted. The Connections page can take a short moment to actually show Connected, since it's confirmed by a background notification from Unipile rather than instantly on redirect — refresh the page if it still shows "Not connected" right away.

What this enables

  • The AI Sourcing Agent can search and source LinkedIn candidates using your account

  • LinkedIn steps (connection requests, messages, follow-ups) in outreach sequences send through your connection

  • You can reply to LinkedIn conversations directly from Inbox

Reconnecting

If your connection expires (shown as "Reconnect needed"), the same Connect LinkedIn button handles reconnecting — you'll go through the same hosted login flow again.

Frequently asked questions

Does FastHire ever see or store my LinkedIn password?

No — you enter it only on Unipile's hosted page, which FastHire never has access to.

Is this connection shared across my team, or just mine?

Just yours — each person connects their own LinkedIn account individually. Sourcing and outreach that use "your" connection always mean the specific person who set it up, not a shared org account.

What happens to sequences and sourcing if my connection expires?

Sequences relying on your LinkedIn connection pause automatically until you reconnect, rather than failing silently or retrying forever.

Can I connect more than one LinkedIn account?

No — each FastHire user can have one LinkedIn connection at a time.
