How to Manage Roles and Permissions (Org Admin vs. Recruiter)

FastHire has two roles: Org Admin and Recruiter. Every organization always has at least one Org Admin — the system won't let you remove or demote the last one.

What only an Org Admin can do

• Invite, remove, and change the role of teammates, and turn their outreach seat on or off (Settings → Team)

• Edit the organization's Company info in Settings → Profile — name, industry, size, website, logo, address, and LinkedIn page (Recruiters can see these fields but they're disabled)

• Manage billing: select or change the plan, add or replace the card on file, buy extra credits, and cancel the subscription

• Configure interview reminder settings, view Analytics, and generate API keys under Settings → Developer

What every Recruiter can do, regardless of role — Searches, Lists, Outreach sequences, Interviews, Inbox, the AI Agent, Connections (each person connects their own LinkedIn/email account), LinkedIn sending limits, and Archived sequences are open to everyone on the team. A Recruiter can also view Settings → Billing (plan, credits, invoices) but every action button there is disabled with a note to ask an Org Admin.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between an Org Admin and a Recruiter? An Org Admin can manage the team, the organization's shared settings, and billing. A Recruiter has full access to the recruiting workflow — sourcing, outreach, interviews, inbox — but can't change teammates, company info, or billing.

Can there be more than one Org Admin? Yes — promote as many teammates to Org Admin as you like from Settings → Team.

Can I remove or demote the only Org Admin? No — promote someone else to Org Admin first. The remove and demote controls are disabled for the sole remaining admin.

Do Recruiters need a seat to use outreach sequences? Yes — activating outreach sequences requires an enabled "seat," which is separate from role and capped per organization. An Org Admin turns seats on or off per person in Settings → Team.
